Sustainability

Working in a sustainable way is good for the marine environment and good for business. Minimum size limits, using static gear catching methods (potting) ensure there is shellfish available for today and tomorrow. We work under the byelaws of Southern IFCA.

Accreditation

Rules are there for a reason
we stick by them and are rewarded for it

We have worked really hard to achieve third party accreditation for our business.

We take food safety and hygiene seriously and we are rigorously inspected and we are proud to show our certifications. In addition, the local authority (Weymouth and Portland Borough Council) have also awarded us Gold Standard for the last four years – equivalent to a five star rating from Westminster City Council.

Of our own volition we have our crab meat analysed every month for Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella and aerobic plate count, for our peace of mind, and yours.

We are proud to be a leader in food health and safety.
